Russell Island Community Arts Association, fondly known as RICArts, is a not for profit community arts association on Russell Island, in the beautiful Southern Moreton Bay Islands. RICArts has a passion and energy for the arts, helping and working closely with our local community. Nestled in a beautiful avocado orchard on Russell Island, RICArts gallery was nicknamed The Farm Art House and Gallery. The gallery presents colourful artwork of our talented members and other Bay Island artists. It is open to the public every weekday morning from 9.30 – 12.30 free of charge.

RICArts has coordinated the production of art in public spaces, that include murals and mosaics erected throughout Russell Island.

The group artworks are created by our dedicated members who volunteer their skills and passion for art.

At RICArts we offer the folllowing arts and crafts classes on an ongoing basis:


Patchworking on Monday

Pottery and Ceramics on Monday and Friday

Drawing and Painting in any medium on Tuesday

Craft in any medium Wednesday

Mosaics on Thursday  

RICArts hosts art competitions, exhibits, special events and social functions attended by government representatives and visiting artists.

Community Market Day at RICArts

Community market days are held periodically in the beautiful RICArts gardens.
