Janice Maxwell is the current president of RICarts, and plays a significant role in promoting the arts in the Russell Island community. Her artwork is inspired by the
natural colours, shapes, textures and rhythms of Australian and African environments.
A third generation painter, Jin Badham Howard creates landscapes and figurative artwork in oil, acrylic, pastel and pencil. Her focus is on the beauty of nature and the colourful world we live in.
Kinga Rypinska is a professional artist whose unique paintings have been extensively exhibited in Europe and Australia, and won multiple awards. Her dreamlike imagery bursts the boundaries of reality with wild energy and a humorous spark.
Mandy Pearson joined RICArts in 2016 and has since become an accomplished portrait artist. Mandy has entered a number of competitions and exhibitions including Brisbane and the Gold Coast and has won awards for her work. Her commission work has been highly recommended by clients and subjects alike.
Thelma Bennet works in pastel, oil and acrylic. Her artwork has been displayed in Australian Artists Pallette Magazine, and received commendations at numerous art competitions.
One of the founding members of RICArts. Wendy's paintings are inspired by the natural settings she first discovered as a photographer. She regularly participates in workshops and exhibitions at RICArts and the Redland Art Gallery.
